Here Again

really should try and blog more but there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day.

Wheres the nice weather gone?
It better start being nice again soon, don't fancy camping in crap weather.

A little over 2 weeks and then the kids are on their summer holidays....wonder if these will let me have some lie ins

This Kid

Nearly caused me a heart attack earlier.

We were sorting out the back garden, getting rid of all the crap when the phone rang, we didn't get to it on time so Keith rang 1571 as you do and got a message from the school saying 'there is an emergency, can you phone back ASAP' well me knees were like jelly as Keith phone back, I was expecting him to be told that one of the kids had broke a limb or that they had a 6 inch gash on their head....no what we were told was that during lunch time Alfie had decided to open one of these and DRINK THE CONTENTS!!!!!!



What a bloody numpty LOL!
He saw me put it into his lunch bag this morning so his lunch would be kept cool, he knows exactly what it is so I have no idea what made him drink it *wacko* well I do cos when I asked him he said he was 'thirsty'...didn't matter that his drinks bottle that contained apple and blackcurrant squash was in his lunch bag along with his lunch and the ice pack!!!

Keith went racing to the school expecting to find him with tummy ache or even being sick but no what he saw was Alfie eating his other sandwich and dancing around with one of the teachers, while the receptionist was talking to someone on the phone from NHSDirect.
A doctor from NHSDirect then phoned me to tell me that the liquid in the ice pack contained metal something or other and that the ingredients were food additives so wouldn't require treatment.

Well Keith brought him home, he finished the rest of his lunch and has spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool along with me :-D.

I've come to the conclussion that he will be safer having school dinners and it safes me fretting on how to keep his yogurt and his sarnies cool in this lovely weather LOL!

Hope this hot weather lasts, we're off camping in a few weeks :-D

More to the point does anyone actually read this anymore??

So what have I been doing these last few weeks.....quite abit!!
Been kept busy redecorating the front room and yes I had GREAT pleasure in ripping up the manky carpet that has been in the house for YEARS & YEARS

Its been replaced with this...



And the walls are now covered in this....



Just need to find a couple of lovely new sofas now.

As my front room has had a makeover, thought I'd give this poor neglected blog one too LOL.

No scrappin' done apart from my DT work for Sarahs Cards (very nice kit,using one of my favourite manufactures)

Been crocheting quite abit, finished another jacket for Miss Isla and started this..



Finally tracked down a UK stockist for Lion Brand wool which I was pleased about,been wanting to try their wool for ages but had no joy until last week...100gm balls for a couple of quid makes me very happy indeedy :-D

Isla has her first trip to nursery next week,shes quite excited about it and says shes gonna paint a picture of Bob the Builder for the boy LOL.
Then its the kids sports day/fete which unfortunately I can't go to as I'm working :-(

Couple More Layouts

don't know whats the matter with me, I'm on a roll with this scrappin' malarky.

Mr Postie delivered some new stash today, the lovely Ness from Papermaze sent me a PM over on UKs letting me know that their order of Cosmos 'Early Bird' had arrived, well I just had to have a few sheets and a few more (spares,you understand) It didn't disappoint when I opened the box, got to say it... Cosmo Cricket are fast becoming one of my favourite manufacturers,each set is just getting better and better!!!

Layouts To Share

One of my favourite kits to date.

Heres one I did today,just a quick one to document Islas obsession with Mr Tumble *bless* from 'Something Special'



Went over to Homebase this morning to have a look at their selection of wallpaper,only another couple of weeks and then the frontroom is being stripped bare and knocked about abit.Anyway I found a couple of nice designs but didn't buy them,instead I came home with a 10ft pool that included the filter pack and cover for......£20!!! Love a bargain I do,lets just hope we're going to have the nice summer that they're saying we're gonna have.
Will have to keep looking for the wallpaper LOL,next stop B&Q!!

Ouch!!!

I think I've broken one of my toes :-(
Don't ask me how I ended up kicking the kitchen door but thats what happened yesterday and to top it off I was going out last night with the girls from work and had to wear me Crocs instead of my heels LOL.

In the last couple of days I've finished my blanket and started my 'Coin' quilt,gonna do a bit more to the quilt in a mo, the kids half term holiday started today and they're upstairs having a disco with the music blasting out LOUDLY...its a good job the neighbours are on holiday,not that they would mind,well I think they wouldn't.

Got BSIL coming over tonight for a little scrappin' session, gonna do some more to a mini album I've been working on.

Finally...

after 14 days of using that awful bloody dongle our new modem turned up this morning :-) Keith set it all up while I was at work today and so far so good.

Following on from my last post about fabric I brought my very first jelly roll off good old Etsy *heart*

I've finally finished my crochet throw and it looks lovely with all the edging finished, will take some pics tomorrow.

Also been scrapping, just a couple of layouts for Sarahs Cards DT and a couple for myself using the Kenner Road kit.

Been looking after poorly children :-(

And thats it.

Well I'm off to start cutting up fabric but will leave you with one of the layouts I did for myself......
